The organisers will be replacing this year’s three day exhibition which was due to stake place on March 24-25-26 at the SECC in Glasgow, with an evening g event on the the 25th March which be revealing their plans s for the 25th Anniversary exhibition in 2012.
Managing Director of QD Event Fran McIntyre said the postponement was in response to an industry demand for one, high profile event each year-severing the whole country..
Next year will be the 25th anniversary of the Fishing Expo and the organisers plan to bring together all the exhibitors and visitors who have supported the show over the past years on the evening of Friday March 25 at the SECC in Glasgow to reveal their plans for the 2012 event.
Ms McIntyre said “ This was a very difficult decision to make and one that involved prioritising the best interests of the fishing industry”.
Some the exhibitors agreed with the decision. David Wood of Northern Oils said “ This as my full backing as do many of my industry colleagues.”.
