The blue whiting available to the Greenland fleet is 20,400 tonnes, reduced next year by 3350 tonnes, while Greenland also has access to Faroese waters to catch 4597 tonnes of its quota of blue whiting in NEAFC waters.
In 2026 Faroese vessels have access to groundfish quotas in Greenlandic waters, totalling 2350 tonnes of cod, with a by-catch limit of 25 tonnes of halibut. The tusk quota is 175 tonnes, a 200 tonne reduction, and the Faroese quota for Greenland halibut is 275 tonnes in east Greenland waters and 100 tonnes off est Greenland.
