Hvide Sande fishing gear and chandlery supplier Frydendahl Im- & Export has been acquired by the Norwegian Egersund Group.
The acquisition comes under Danish company OK Marine, which acquires 80% of Frydendahl, along with a 20% stake held by sales manager Brian Skovgaard. The acquisition is as of 1st April 2022.
Frydendahl Im- & Export is a well known and longstanding supplier of a range of fishing products, including an extensive range of braided twines and nets for static fishing gear. As well as its base on the Danish west coast at Hvide Sande, it also has production in Estonia and Malaysia.
According to a statement by Egersund Group, the expectation is that Frydendahl’s portfolio of products and activities will complement Egersund’s business activities.
