Danish company Carsoe has acquired a 43% stake in its Norwegian supplier Holmek Palletering AS, with which it has collaborated over an extended period.
The deal was finalised earlier this month as Carsoe acquired the stake in the Kristiansund-based Holmek which supplies palletising systems and is involved in the supply of Carsoe’s current trawler outfitting order.
Together with Holmek, Carsoe have developed and delivered some excellent solutions with very positive response from Carsoe’s customers.
‘By acquiring a minority stake in Holmek, we hope to even better control our supply chain within palletizing solutions in particular regarding technical issues and future development,’ said Carsoe managing director Mikkel Jacobsen.
‘Except for some changes in the board of management which I will join, the daily business won’t be affected – neither at Holmek nor at Carsoe.’
