The Klondyke Fishing Company and the Karstensen shipyard have selected a range of equipment from Brunvoll for the new pelagic trawler Chris Andra, due to be delivered in 2026.
The Brunvoll package includes a number of advanced products – the Integrated Costa Propulsion with controllable pitch propeller and gear, tunnel thruster, retractable azimuth combi thruster, and the Brunvoll BruCon control system.
The Integrated Costa Propulsion is a design concept in which propeller, nozzle, and rudder are designed and hydrodynamically optimised in unison for maximum thrust and steering. The retractable azimuth combi thruster in the bow contributes to both sideways thrust, and provides additional propulsion and manoeuvering power when needed.
The BruCon control system allows the operator to seamlessly steer and manoeuver the vessel in various operating conditions.
