Danish shipyard Vestværftet has delivered its latest newbuilding, the Alannah Riley, to the Minihane family of Castletownbere in Ireland.

The 28.62 metre Alannah Riley has a 9 metre beam, is designed by the yard and construction was completed at Hvide Sande in western Denmark.

The main engine is a six-cylinder ABC 6DZ, driving a Hundested stern gear combination of CPG-280 reduction gear and a CP 3400mm diameter four-bladed propeller. Hundested also supplied the 160hp bow thruster and the MT-2500 steering system is from Scan Steering.

The deck is laid out with four Rapp Hydema winches, two double drums and two single drums a Scantrol trawl control system installed by AS Scan.

The catch handling deck is outfitted by Dutch company VCU. The fishrooms can be used for chilled or frozen catches, with a refrigeration system fitted by Nordkøl Hanstholm. Alannah Riley also has a 1.25 tonne per day Geneglace icemaker and twin blast freezers supplied by Andrew Conaghan in Ireland

Accommodation is in three twin and four single cabins.
