The new, environmentally friendly evaporator at Thyborøn is ready for operation.
– The new evaporator, which cost approx. DKK 17m, is more environmentally friendly than the old one because it is equipped with indirect condensation. As a result, this evaporator results in fewer emissions into the environment, explains Production Manager Christian Bisgaard.
The entire production system at Thyborøn will be checked and ready for full production at the start of the sand eel season. That will be necessary, for Christian Bisgaard says that if as many sand eel are fished in the first couple of months of this year as last year, the capacity in Thyborøn will be fully exploited during this period.
