WaterMota, the South Devon based company has been primarily known for supplying engines for workboats and commercial craft but with this new agreement is returning to its roots in the leisure market. The company is now target to sell the engines across the country and so is looking for dealers. The company said that WaterMota is experiencing good growth and signing with Hyundai is a further step forward.
According to the company Hyundai is a very well known and respected name. The company has recently moved into the marine sector – Hyundai Seasall is a dedicated marine division of Hyundai Kia Motor Corporation – and has produced a very good quality engine with an attractive price tag. WaterMota will remain strong in the commercial and workboat market but it’s also time for us to move back into the pleasure market.
The company said that the engines are already proving popular. The first two models of Hyundai SeasALL diesel engines are an in line four cylinder 2.2 litre and a V6 CRDI 3.0 litre. The new 3 litre diesel engines has a power rating of 250ps (184kW) and 50kgm of torque. Weighing just 334kg, the sterndrive, shaftdrive and waterjet models are ultra-light, extremely compact, quiet and fuel-efficient.
