With the Icelandic Fisheries Exhibition scheduled to take place in September, the organising team is watching the current situation closely.
‘We appreciate that with regular news stories and updates about the Coronavirus, there are many questions that our exhibitors and visitors may have around this year’s event,’ a spokesman for Mercator Media said, commenting that the company continues its work to stage Icefish 23-25th September and is obtaining advice on the measures needed to safely and successfully holding the event.
‘Flights to Iceland recommence on 15th June and the Icelandic Government is predicting allowing an increase of group gatherings to 2000 during the summer. Our team will continue to monitor the situation closely and will provide the next update on 1st July.’
Icefish has provided a platform since 1984 for industry professionals and exhibitors to meet, knowledge share and do business.
‘Mercator Media stays committed to deliver this exhibition where we safely and successfully can do so,’ the company said.
‘As ever, our primary concern is the health and safety of our exhibitors, visitors and staff. Please be assured that Mercator Media Limited will stay vigilant and implement advice from global health authorities such as the World Health Organisation as well as the national and local authorities.’
