The Norwegian Salmon Experience, an educational event for chefs, restaurateurs, media and other guests to taste, see and learn about Norwegian Salmon. The event was organized by the Norwegian Seafood Export Council (NSEC).Børge Grønbech, NSEC’s Representative in Boston, invited U.S foodies to experience the benefits of Norwegian salmon.
It is informed that celebrated Norwegian Chef Sven Erik Renaa, recently named the 2009 Norwegian Chef of the Year, performed a live culinary demonstration and sampling of a unique dish containing Norwegian Salmon, Smoked Norwegian Salmon with Apple Vinaigrette and Horseradish.
The 2010 Norwegian Seafood Ambassadors were also introduced at the event and each chef conducted a live firing and tasting of a recipe created especially for the event. The chefs also shared culinary techniques and tips for creating delicious and naturally nutritious meals featuring Norwegian Salmon.
Chef Bradford McDonald created his special dish, Norwegian Salmon Rillettes en Tartine, while Chef Brian Bistrong demoed his own creation. Guests were treated to samples of each of the 2010 Norwegian Seafood Ambassadors’ culinary delights.
