Fish Tram Chips provide special training to deal with the customers and keep them happy by supplying quality fish and chips. Recently a four member staff has just finished specialized courses to hone their customer service and fish frying skills. The staff were recognized and certified by Lord Roberts and Bill Crook, National Federation of Fish Friers Executive Councillor for North West England.
Diane Challinor-Judge, an employee at Fish Tram Chips for 15 months and is now in-house trainer. Recently she completed both the Seafish Fish Frying Skills Qualification and the Seafish Customer Service Skills Qualification. Both are endorsed by the National Federation of Fish Friers and are open to anyone working in a fish and chip shop or restaurant. Lisa Gore, who worked for Fish Tram Chips for three and half years, has now completed the Customer Service Skills Qualification, whilst owners Steven and Alison Owen have also been involved, completing the Fish Frying and Customer Service qualifications respectively.
The courses were designed by industry body Seafish, which help to enhance staff productivity, gain a higher level of staff motivation and improve customer satisfaction. In these courses the candidates are tested in food preparation, frying skills, customer service, food hygiene and health and safety. Following a series of self-study workbooks, their assessments comprised a multiple choice examination paper and a series of practical tests.
Alison told that Fish Tram Chips want its customers to come back and part and parcel of that is offering a top quality service at all times. The company won the Seafish Friers Quality Award for their quality products.
