Two new trawlers designed by Coprexma were this week delivered to Erquy fishing vessel operator Armement Porcher.
Built at Socarenam in Boulogne, Sapa and Harfang are the latest deliveries in a long relationship between owner and shipyard as these two make a total of eighteen vessels over the years.
Each has a 24.99 metre overall length, with an 8.20 metre beam, and they are built to a new design with aluminium superstructure on a steel hull construction.
The two sister vessels each have a 110 cubic metre fishroom with on-board ice production capacity and a vivier tank for crabs. Sapa and Harfang are designed to work with a crew of up to seven with accommodation for six at main deck level and a skipper’s cabin in the superstructure.
Delivered in the last week of November, the two new trawlers are expected to be ready to join the company fleet in Saint-Brieuc in mid-December.
