The merging company, which will be the biggest of this kind in the Nordic countries, is a Danish public limited company with the name TripleNine Group A/S and is based in Esbjerg, Denmark.
Through the merger, TripleNine Group will be administrating both production and commercial companies in strategically important places in the world, such as Denmark, Norway, Chile, South Africa, Mauritania and China.
The final agreement was signed in Copenhagen Wednesday night, and made TripleNine Group A/S a legal reality, with a board consisting of representatives from the fishing industry, TripleNine and Koppernæs Group, and with Christian Bisgaard as CEO.
– It is important to underline that we value a decentralised structure, where decisions are made mainly within the single companies, says Christian Bisgaard. – The great advantage will be that the overall reporting and financial control is handled within the group, and we will have great opportunities to exchange experiences, in order for us to use the knowledge of each single company and learn from each other.
– The future challenge will be to develop the different business areas within TripleNine Group, and we shall also participate actively in the consolidation, which we feel is required in this industry, concludes Christian Bisgaard.
