NSW Department of Primary Industries (DPI) Fisheries Compliance Manager, Glenn Tritton, said that NSW DPI Fisheries officers recently undertook surveillance in the Goodradigbee River Arm of Burrinjuck Dam, an area known for illegal fishing activity.
Tritton also said that two men were alleged, aged 61 and 56 from Tumut, and were captured on video retrieving a number of fish and14 excess lines. Fisheries Officers had apprehended the men. The men will face Tumut Local Court on a range of offences including possess prohibited gear, use excess lines, leave lines unattended and possess fish illegally taken.
