A completely new water purification plant, which is both environmentally friendly and energy-saving, has been installed at TripleNine’s Thyborøn factory.
Production Manager Lars Skøtt Nielsen explains that the new plant is a reverse osmosis system, which passes the water through very fine filters.
This makes the plant very environmentally friendly, as the treated water will be much cleaner than before.
– It also saves energy, because we do not need to blow away foam and silt as much as in the old plant, says Lars Skøtt Nielsen.
Ready for the sand eel season
– However, the main benefit is that the new plant will contribute to increased production stability, especially when it is very busy, which we of course hope will very soon be the case, adds Lars Skøtt Nielsen. – We have therefore made sure that the plant is operational before the sand eel season.
TripleNine’s new water purification plant cost approx. DKK 800,000, but EnergiNord contributed financially towards the establishment because of the energy savings that will be achieved.
