According to a press release of the company the squid smart cards are enable staff to pay for food and drink at their new in house staff restaurant. The release also states that a new Uniwell catering till system, integrated with the squid eMoney platform, enables staff to top up their card and pay with squid by simply holding it against a contact less reader.
The system is so easy that the card holders can do and check their transactions online such as top their squid accounts, making online order, checking their balance and so on.
