Wesmar has been getting some enthusiastic feedback on its powerful new HD860 Dual Stabilized Beam sonar from Dutch Harbor, the Washington, Oregon and California coasts, and as far south as Mexico.
The new technology built into the HD860 means that the transducer can be run in two different modes simultaneously, with a narrow beam in long range in searchlight fashion, while a wide beam scans the sea floor ahead.
‘It’s a dramatic and very effective development by Wesmar for fishing,’ said Wesmar’s Bryan Thiemann.
‘The HD860 is just one of the money-making pieces of gear for vessel owners that we’ll be demonstrating at our booth at Pacific Marine Expo,’ he said. ‘Other significant products fishermen will be able to see at Booth 933 are the company’s trawl sonar and powerful stainless steel counter rotating dual prop bow thrusters. ‘
Seattle company Wesmar brings more than five decades of marine design and manufacturing experience to the Expo. The firm has provided widely respected commercial grade equipment to both private and government operations around the world. Its network of customer support includes over 350 trained service personnel, dealers and distributors.
Seattle Pacific Marine Expo takes place in Seattle 16-18th November and Wesmar are at Booth 933.
