With a sell-out attendance of 230 exhibitors from 22 different countries, the 2019 Skipper Expo Int. Aberdeen is ready to open its doors on Friday morning – and this is the biggest Aberdeen show yet for organiser Mara Media.
Held over two days 17-18th May, the event brings together under one roof a comprehensive variety of equipment suppliers and support services for the commercial fishing industry.
Sponsored by the Scottish Fishermen’s Federation, the line-up features 40 first time exhibitors, ensuring there will be plenty new companies, and highlights will include the ever-popular seafood tasting stand hosted by Boxpool Solutions and safety demos from the RNLI.
More than twenty shipyards are also exhibiting, highlighting the optimism in Scottish fishing today.
The expo will be officially opened by Scottish Fisheries Secretary Fergus Ewing on Friday 17th May, who will then tour the exhibition hall.
‘We are thrilled that there has been so much interest in Skipper Expo Int. Aberdeen 2019,’ said
Sharon Boyle of show organiser Mara Media.
‘There is a real international flavour this year, and it promises to be a fantastic expo. We look forward to welcoming exhibitors and visitors to Scotland’s flagship fisheries event.’
