Norwegian company Bodø Fiskemottak has recently taken delivery of a new splitting line for producing bacalao saltfish, supplied by Skaginn 3X.
The line has four workstations and is also equipped with a trimming section, a splitting machine and an automated salt batching distributer for salting into tubs.
Its design handles the fish gently while maintaining quality and producing superior bacalao with a high throughput rate.
Bodø Fiskemottak, set up in 2018, is a relatively new company, but aims to be a leader in the supply of sustainable seafood.
‘We chose Skaginn 3X AS because of the company’s innovative products and presence in Bodø. The line has been up and running since July and has exceeded our expectations,’ said Bodø Fiskemottak’s CEO Sigurd Rydland.
