Danish trawl door manufacturer Thyborøn Trawldoor has announced the acquisition of the entire shareholding in Faroese company Rock Trawl Doors.
Rock’s production will remain at its current quayside location in Vágur, and will continue to function as an independent entity with its own product range.
‘Rock will continue with same management and team as today, with Petur Kjaerbæk as director and Samal Trolle as production manager,’ said Allan Rønn Pedersen at Thyborøn Trawldoor.
‘We are at Thyboron Trawldoors very proud that the shareholders trust us to continue their almost twenty-year-old year company in the same spirit and we look forward to see what the future brings. Our goal is to help optimise the production facility and the line of products, and to secure local production of high quality trawl doors on the Faroe Islands.’
