The crew of two Russian Fishery Company trawlers have received commendations from the Federal Fisheries Agency for their results during the Sea of Okhotsk A season this year.
‘The 2020 season was a record in the company’s history. RFC’s vessels have caught almost two-thirds of their allocated quotas,’ said Konstantin Lukyanenko, the company’s deputy general director of fleet management, commenting that this year the RFC fleet’s trawlers have landed almost 10,000 tonnes more for this A season than they did last year.
The crew of the 104 metre Berezina and the 114 metre Kapitan Oleynichuk received certificates of commendation from the Federal Fisheries Agency for achieving outstanding results. According to Berezina’s manager Nikolai Morgun, the trawler and its crew have worked through tough conditions including heavy ice, to beat targets for catch and production.
‘The success we have achieved on Kapitan Oleynichuk depends, as always, on the teamwork of the entire crew,’ said skipper Sergey Ipatov.
