During this year’s Alask apollock A season, the fleet of trawlers operated by the Russian Fishery Company showed a substantial increase in productivity, with four of its trawlers among the top ten catchers.
RFC had four of its new generation factory vessels at sea during this year’s A season – Vladimir Limanov, Kapitan Vdovichenko, Mekhanik Maslak and Mekhanik Sizov. For the B season they will be joined by the new Kapitan Martynov.
‘The Russian Fishery Company is the A season leader for 2024, which confirms the efficiency and capabilities of the new ST-192 vessels,’ said RFC general manager Olga Naumova.

The RFC fleet produced 15,300 tonnes of pollock fillets during the season, a 14% increase over the 2023 A season, as well as 19,500 tonnes of surimi – a massive 66% increase over last year’s fishery, and concentrating on A and B grades of surimi. RFC was also a leader in roe production.
According to the company, deliveries of fillets and surimi to the domestic market in Russia and up 46% compared to 2023, while products are also in demand in China and on various markets in south-east Asia, including Vietnam which has recently begun importing fillets.
