Denmarks largest fishing vessel the 75 meters and 2.700 BT ”Gitte Henning” L349of Thyborøn in Denmark , delivered last year by Karstensens Shipyard in Skagen, landed on Monday May 25th a record breaking catch of 2.500 tons sandeel in Haugesund, Norway. This is surely a new Danish record, and probably world record as well! The journey started out from Norway on May 16th, and the fishery was then carried out the following 7 days in the British part of the North Sea. Since this years tobis season started out in April the record trawler “Gitte Henning” had landed several catches in Norway, to reach higher prices compared to the actual price level by Triple Nine in her homeport Thyborøn.
