Icelandic fishing company Rammi has selected Ibercisa to supply the winch systems for its new triple-rig trawler, due to be built at the Celiktrans yard in Turkey.
Rammi’s new 47-metre fresher trawler is to be built to a design developed by Icelandic naval architect Nautic. Representatives of Ibercisa Deck Machinery, Celiktrans and Nautic met at the DanFish exhibition in Aalborg last week – and the announcement was made there.
The choice of Ibercisa as a supplier is based on previous co-operation between the yard, designer and Ibercisa, which has a number of other projects completed or in progress in the Nordic region. The company has also highlighted that Ibercisa offers extensive aftersales service in Iceland through its local service partner Marás.
