The new company will have factories in Norway, Denmark and Chile and will end up owning 50% of shares in the Norwegian trading company Norsildmel AS.
The boards of TripleNine a.m.b.a. and Koppernæs AS recommend the merger of the two fishmeal companies.
The new company name is TripleNine Group A/S, and it will have its head office in Esbjerg.
The two parties each own 50% of the new company, which will have a turnover of 3 billion DKK.
The basis for the merger is that the two parties have a convergence of views on the strategic challenges and opportunities for development. TripleNine Group will thus have a better opportunity to develop new products and meet customer needs.
The merger will not come fully into effect until all approvals are received and is expected to be completed in spring 2013.
