In Kodiak defended their legal grounds in another meeting to save the dwindling stocks of salmon and crab in the area. They showed all the necessary documents legally necessary to prove their innocence such as observer reports, and scientific data. It is true that all these information are factual which shows that the trawl fleet cares nothing. The citizens of the place blame the trawlers for the diminishing stocks of salmon and crab. But the trawler fishermen gives excuses that Pollock devour salmon smolt and baby crab and so the population is dwindling.
All these excuses seem like a ploy to privatize the bay because if the fishermen really care about the decreasing population of salmon and crab they would have publicly obtain the data through research and development. The concern citizen of the area really wants to clear their beach by kicking out these trawlers but in vain. The reason may be some of them involved in this illegal fishing using haphazard methods to obtain more fishing stocks. It is now clear that the meeting was just to produce fake legal documents and get approval of doing illegal fishing without paying any heed to the dwindling stocks of salmon and crab in the area.
