The National Federation of Fishermen’s Organisations (NFFO) has thrown it support behind Skipper Expo Int. Bournemouth 2016 by confirming that it will once again sponsor the event.
This will be the third year in a row that the NFFO has sponsored the Bournemouth expo, signalling the important place the show now holds in the fishing industry calendar.
Their sponsorship comes at a time of intense political activity following the result of the EU referendum. As well as highlighting the range of services on offer, the NFFO team will also be on hand at Bournemouth to discuss with fishermen issues concerning Brexit.
‘The NFFO is currently working flat out on making Brexit a success for fishing,’ said NFFO chief executive Barrie Deas. ‘This will involve detailed discussions with Government on the shape of the post-Brexit regime. Issues such as quotas, access arrangements, access to markets, sustainable fishing policies and a voice in the arrangements for fishermen will be key themes.’
‘We are delighted that the NFFO is once again sponsoring Skipper Expo Int. Bournemouth 2016,’ commented Sharon Boyle of show organiser Mara Media.
‘Their presence at the show is always one of the highlights and their support is essential for the event’s continuing success.’
Skipper Expo Int. Bournemouth 2016 will be held on 28 and 29 October 2016 at the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC). Entry to the show is free.
