One of the best UK fishing exhibitions, Fishing 2010 in Glasgow, has lots of new exciting content combines with a special push to provide discounted accommodation likely to make it the busiest for years. The exhibition is going to be held from May 20-22 in Glasgow. Information revealed that over 50% of stand space has been sold to suppliers from the UK, Ireland and the rest of Europe.
The event is organised by QD Events after closely consulting with the fishing industry on the type of content fishermen would most like to see at an exhibition. After getting their feedback the organiser have now put together a format that they believe will reinvigorate one of northern Europe’s most successful commercial fisheries exhibitions.
Katy Walker, the group manager, is of a view that this exhibition is exclusively for fishing industry and the main highlight will be the opening day sessions, which will include an address from Scottish Fisheries Minister Richard Lochhead, an update on reform of the CFP by EC official.
Other key attractions of the exhibition include controversial film End of the Line show followed by a panel discussion. Inspiring cooking demonstrations from top Scottish chefs and a special fund raising dinner dance for the Scottish Fishermen’s Mission.
