Tor Hugo, Christer Mikal and Erlend of fishing company Havgutt have taken delivery of the new 10.99-metre, 4.15-metre breadth Helmer J from Nor Dan Marine.

This new fishing vessel has a 17 cubic metre fishroom, approved for bulk, and is laid out for handling static gear.
The main engine is a 300hp Scania DI09 driving a ZF 325 gear. Helmer J has Sleipner SH320 BA16 bow and aft thrusters and a ClearCommand control system from KGK, which provides excellent handling at low speeds and while working fishing gear.
The forward wheelhouse is outfitted with an Olex plotting system and electronics from Furuno, including a Time Zero system, and a Simrad A2004 autopilot interfaced to the thrusters.
Helmer J has aPLS system from Nor Dan Automation, which collates all of the boat’s technical functions in one system, provides an overview and control on board, opens possibilities for remote support and follow-up and links to a mobile app that provides a remote overview.
Following delivery by Nor Dan Marine, Helmer J is on its way to Smådal Mekaniske for its deck and catch-handling equipment to be fitted.
