Skipper-owner Tomas Sagen and his company Sagen Fisk are the latest to take delivery of a new Cleopatra 33 from Icelandic boatbuilder Trefjar.
The new Tiina E replaces his old boat, a Cleopatra 31 that has performed well, while the new boat represents an opportunity to scale up and renew his fishing operation with a 9.99-metre Cleopatra 33.
Tiina E has a classic Trefjar layout, with a 350hp Scania D9 main engine powering a ZF286IV gearbox in the aft engine room, and a midships fishroom with capacity for twelve 380-litre tubs. The new boat is outfitted for netting and longlining, with a Beitir hauler.
There is accommodation for three in the forward cabin below, accessible via the wheelhouse, which is laid out with a galley and mess area on the port side and the skipper’s control position to starboard, facing displays for the Olex plotter and the Simrad electronics. The autopilot is linked to the bow and stern thrusters which are automatically activated as required.
Tiina E has been delivered to Tomas Sagan in Norway and is expected to start fishing in the new few days.
