As the demand and supply for certified sustainable seafood in France growing day by day, the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) has opened a local office in Paris. Edouard Le Bart, Commercial Manager for the MSC in France, will lead the MSC’s commercial and fisheries outreach activities in France. Anyes Estay, Communications Officer, will be responsible for the communications strategy of the MSC in France.
According to MSC the team’s objectives in France will be to facilitate access and encourage participation of French fisheries, processors, retailers and foodservice in the MSC programme and continue to further raise logo awareness. Edouard Le Bart said that they are very excited having new office in Paris as it is an important step forward for the MSC’s outreach work in France.
New office starts with the full assessment of four fisheries as the number of MSC-labelled products available in France has increased by 158 percent over the past twelve months. Nicolas Guichoux, MSC Regional Director – Europe, commented that working alongside Anyes and Edouard, this year I’ve witnessed the enthusiasm and hard work of our French partners.
