Twenty years after its last new vessel, Montelucia, was delivered Spanish tuna vessel operator Calvo Group is building a new tuna vessel at the Freire yard in Vigo.
TH Company (previously Tecnicas Hydraulicas) is supplying the new vessel’s Marco deck equipment, and bringing in some innovations. These include the Powerdavit purse davit, a load-sensing system with electrical controls and a Marbox monitoring system.
These new innovations are mainly focused on improving efficiency, simplifying the installation and improving its ease of operation. Ins addition, the system will have a double davit for speedboats and a work boat davit with support.
Over the last few years TH Company has extended its international network, opening new offices to offer customers a better service, and has now opened a new branch in Vigo.
Located in the port area, its focus is on the tuna, trawler and shipping sectors, as well as the shipbuilding industry based in the Port of Vigo and surrounding area. The new office incorporates a large warehouse to provide customers with original spare parts and units.
Technical assistance, equipment repair and maintenance services will be also provided.
These new office will contribute to the strengthening and growth of Marco brand worldwide, which over the past years has established itself with branches in Mexico, Ecuador, Perú as TH Company seeks to be close to its worldwide customer base.
