Icelandic boatbuilder Trefjar has delivered an identical pair of Cleopatra 33s to Norway. Brothers Tom-Kenneth and Kurth-Anders Slettvoll each skipper a boat, operating from Kabelvåg in the Lofoten islands.
Ørsvåg II and Ørsvåg III replace an older boat the brothers have been working since they bought it in 2019. The new pair are 9.99 metre, 10gt longliners, have already been delivered to their owners in Norway, and are expected to start fishing in the next few days.
Each boat has a 410hp FPT C90 main engine driving a ZF286IV reduction gear. Electronic systems are from Furuno, Simrad and Olex, and include autopilots linked to the hydraulic bow and aft thrusters to activate automatically when required.
The longline systems on board both boats have been delivered by Beitir. Ørsvåg II and Ørsvåg III each has fishroom capacity for twelve 380-litre tubs.
The layout places the skipper’s control position on the starboard side of the wheelhouse, with a galley/mess area on the port side, and there is a bunkroom with three berths below.
