Friend of the Sea is currently the main international certification scheme, in terms of volume certified, for products (seafood, fishmeal, fishoil, fishfeed, etc) from sustainable fisheries and aquaculture. It is the only certification scheme fully complying with the FAO Guidelines for seafood eco-labeling: Friend of the Sea certified products do not originate from overexploited fish stocks. More than 10% of the worldwide catch and over 350.000 MT of farmed products have been certified, from all continents. Certified products originate from more than 50 different species.
The Friend of the Sea Day event will allow you to:

– be informed on recent seafood sustainability issues
– meet with companies supplying Friend of the Sea certified products
– meet companies potentially interested in your certified products.
The event is free entrance and will include coffee breaks, buffet lunch and a gala dinner.
