All exhibit space at the Iceland Fishing Expo, due to take place in Reykjavík 28th-30th of this month is now sold out, report the event’s organisers.
The exhibition takes place in Reykjavík’s Laugardalshöll Sports and Exhibition Centre
‘We are very thankful for the great response to the Iceland Fishing Expo 2106, the biggest exhibition of the year in Iceland,’ said organiser Ólafur M. Jóhannesson.
‘There is a great diversity among the exhibitors, representing all areas of the fishing industry, securing a first-class show at a prime venue that will capture the attention of everyone connected to the fishing industry.’
Iceland Fishing Expo 2106 is intended primarily for fishing industry professionals. Well over a hundred foreign and domestic fishing industry companies have now confirmed their participation in the exhibition.
During the opening ceremony of the Iceland Fishing Expo 2106 a number of awards will be given to selected members of the Icelandic fishing industry in recognition for an outstanding performance. The awards will be presented by the Icelandic Seamen’s Federation, Fisheries Iceland, The National Association of Small Boat Owners, The Icelandic Union of Marine Engineers and Metal Technicians, The Production and Export Association (SFÚ) and The Iceland Ocean Cluster, all which are sponsors of the Iceland Fishing Expo 2016.
‘We believe the exhibition will create excellent common ground for all professionals and other interested parties to discover advances and nuances within the fishing industry. Over the past few years the fishing industry in Iceland has grown considerably and we believe the key to a successful exhibition is to allow both large and small companies to promote their products for both the domestic and foreign market,’ Ólafur M Jóhannesson said.
