A new 49.95 metre pelagic vessel has been ordered by the owners of the Lingbank from Karstensens in Skagen, the company’s first newbuilding.

Lingbank is run by skipper Benny Rasmussen, along with sons Jens, Jonas, Jeppe and Johs. The new Lingbank is to be delivered in 2019 and will replace a boat built in 1985 that the company acquired in 2005. The newbuild is designed to have a 1300 cubic metre capacity in its RSW tanks, and the company has quotas for both catches for human consumption and industrial species.

The new 49.95 metre LOA Lingbank has a 13.20 metre beam and will have a 2920kW MAN Diesel & Turbo main engine and propulsion system, as well as twin 400kW auxiliaries, 400kW sidethrusters and a double 640kW RSW system.
