Easter has seen some good fishing for HB Grandi’s pelagic vessels in Faroese waters, says the company’s pelagic division head, Vilhjálmur Vilhjálmsson.
The three pelagic vessels are fishing close to the southern edge of the Faroese EEZ and between them they have landed around 18,400 tonnes so far this year, leaving 5800 tonnes of their quota to be caught,
Faxi RE landed a full trip to Vopnafjördur on Easter Sunday and is now back at sea. Ingunn AK docked in Vopnafjördur with full tanks this morning and Lundey NS is expected to start discharging another full load tomorrow, so the staff at HB Grandi’s fishmeal production plant in Vopnafjördur will have enough to keep them busy in the next few days.
