The shortage of fish pushed prices up, with Large haddock making £143-£154 per 57kg box and medium £131-£148 per 57 kg box.
The market of the week Monday saw Six trawlers land a total of 3206 boxes of white fish which sold at the following prices Large Cod £3.00-£3.60, Medium £2.50-£3.00, Haddock Large £2.50-£2.70, Medium £2.30-£2.60, Round Haddock 80p-£1.00, Whiting £1.40-£1.80, Lemon Sole £1.50-£5.00, Megrims £3.00-£5.70, Coley £1.40, Monkfish £3.50-£3.90, Plaice 70p-£1.50, Hake £2.00-£4.00, Witches £1.40-£2.50 and Ling £1.50-£1.70.
Trawlers landed Norlanteen, Arkh Angell, Russa Teign, Arcanem Acorn and Valhalla.
The following day Tuesday saw only two trawlers land a total of 1278 boxes of white fish which sold at the following. There were no Haddock, Cod, Lemon Sole, Monkfish, Coley, Megrims, Plaice, Hake, Witches or Ling sold, Selected Haddock sold at £2.20, Round Haddock 80p-90p, Whiting £1.50-£1.70, Round Whiting £1.50-£1.60.
Trawlers landed Genesis and Renown.
The next day’s market Wednesday was the same with only Two trawlers landing a total 592 boxes of whitefish which sold at the following . There were no Cod, Haddock, Lemon Sole, Monkfish, Coley, Megrims, Plaice, Hake Ling or Witches sold, Round haddock sold at 85p-£1.20, Whiting £1.50.
Trawlers landed Arcane and Tranquillity .
The following days market Thursday faired a little better with Nine trawlers a total of 3088 boxes of whitefish which sold at the following prices. Large Cod £2.80-£3.80, Medium £2.60-£3.10, Haddock Large £2.80-£3.20, Medium £2.80-£3.20, Whiting £1.70-£2.20, Round Whiting 90p-£1.40, No Lemon Sole, Monkfish £3.70-£4.50, Coley £1.20-£2.00, Ling £2.00there were no Megrims, Plaice, Hake, or Witches sold.
Trawlers landed Acorn, Guardian Angell, MaiMai, Ocean Harvest, Harvester, Castlewood, Attain, Norlanteen and Karenann.
The last market of the week Friday saw Five trawlers land a total of 1863 boxes of whitefish which sold at the following prices Cod Large £2.40-£3.50, Medium £2.20-£2.70, Haddock Large £2.20-£2.60, Whiting £1.10-£1.30, Round whiting £1.30-£1.80, Monkfish £4.00-£5.50, Coley £1.30-£1.80, Megrims £2.00-£6.00, Witches £1.60-£2.00, Ling £2.40-£2.60. There were no Lemon sole, plaice or Hake sold.
Trawlers landed Sunrise, Maggie M, Harvest Hope, Aalskere and Tranquillity,
At Peterhead there were landings from 24 trawlers totalling 9,968 boxes of white fish last week. There were also three pelagic landings of herring.
At Fraserburgh harbour 21 trawlers landed 1.398 boxes of whitefish over the week which sold for small prices.
At Scrabster harbour Nine trawlers landed 5,548 boxes of whitefish over the week which sold for reported good prices.
At Buckie Harbour only one trawler landed 10 boxes of white fish, prawns and squid.

An English-registered Crabber broke free of its moorings in hurricane force gales of 100mph while berthed at Scalloway Harbour in Shetland during the early morning of 4 February.
The Crabber the Amadeus TH7 is registered at Teignmouth in South Devon and based at Brixham in South Devon.
The Amadeus is a 24 metre modern vivier crabber and visits Shetland quite often. Her skipper Stuart MacDougall thanked the Local Coastguard Team and Aith Lifeboat and other who helped save the trawler.
