TripleNine succeeded in securing its first fishmeal order for China since 2001
Just before Christmas, the last official approvals were obtained and TripleNine is now approved for exporting fishmeal and fish oil to China.
Already on 17 January, Business Development Manager Yanqi Zhang Larsen and Managing Director Christian Bisgaard went to China to visit potential customers and business contacts.
Direct from Beijing, Yanqi Zhang Larsen reports that they have already managed to sell a major consignment of fishmeal to a Chinese customer. It is the first time since 2001 that a Danish fishmeal factory has sold fishmeal to China.
Full support by the Embassy
During their visit to China Yanqi Zhang Larsen and Christian Bisgaard were invited for dinner by the Danish Ambassador to China, Arne Friis Petersen, and his wife Birgitte, together with the Embassy’s special advisor on the food industry, Jacob Snog Ærenlund, and commercial attaché Wang Yuan.
The Ambassador expressed his delight that TripleNine is now making such assiduous efforts to establish itself on the Chinese market and promised the full support of the Embassy.
The Ambassador also took a very positive view of TripleNine’s plans to establish fishmeal production in China.
As an effective network is crucial to doing business on the Chinese market, Yanqi Zhang Larsen will remain in China for another fortnight to extend her network and undertake further market research. She will also continue her visits to potential customers and Chinese authorities.
