The National Cod Breeding Centre is attracting many visitors as they love to watch cod’s swimming and their habitat. Cameraman Ingo Vollmer views the cod through his underwater camera. The farmed cod has so greatly influenced the people that a three-member television crew from Germany is visiting the breeding centre. They shoot 45-miniutes programme in which it shows the life cycle of cod fish that forms part of a series called Animals that Changed History. The Germans have filmed the stripping of female cod for roe which describe cod as an animal that has changed history.
The staff at the Kraknes facility has strip the cod of roe and sperm which was filmed by the German crew. The director Artz said that the whole process is very thrilling and it was excellent to film this.
