A new factory trawler built at the Vyborg Shipyard for the Kaliningrad-based Atlantrybflot, part of the FOR Group, has been handed over to its owners.

The 80.40 metre Dmitry Kozharsky has a 15.40 metre beam and is outfitted for targeting demersal species in northern waters. The factory deck and refrigeration system have a 105 tonnes/day capacity, in addition to a canning capable of 4000 cans of liver per day and an 8 tonne/day fishmeal plant. Overall hold capacity is 2375 cubic metres.

Dmitry Kozharsky is the first in the KMT02.02 series of three planned for companies within the FOR Group. Its keel was laid in Noevmbrr 2018 and the hull was floated off for outfitting in June 2020. Sea trials were carried out prior to handover, and fishing trials will be carried out now that the new vessel is in the owner’s hands.

The series of trawlers for FOR Group under construction at the Vyborg Shipyard is being built under the Russian government’s investment quotas initiative.
