Evotec has won a contract to supply equipment to the Scottish fishing company Sunbeam Fishing Limited. Its new pelagic trawler is to be built at Myklebust Verft A/S and is scheduled for delivery in 2025/2026.
The package of equipment from Evotec includes all winches for trawling and mooring. This includes Evotec MultiSoft Trawl with PM motors and converters. In addition to outstanding dynamic properties, Evotec MultiSoft offers significant savings in weight and space.
‘This is another project developed in close collaboration with Salt Ship Design. It is particularly pleasing that the majority of the ripple effects from such a delivery are placed along the Norwegian coast,’ said Evotec sales manager Håkon Woldsund.
‘The company has worked closely with Evotec for a long time, and we are very pleased to be chosen as the supplier to the Duthie family. We are well positioned in the fisheries sector and are optimistic for the future.’
The order for the new Sunbeam follows the order announced last week for a full array of Evotec deck equipment for the two new pair trawlers placed by Faroe Origin at the Karstensen yard, with 2026 delivery dates for these two vessels.
