With more than a hundred companies already confirmed over three months to go, the countdown is on for the upcoming Irish Skipper Expo with a broad array of companies covering all fishing sectors.
‘For the Irish skipper Expo 2025 we have an impressive lineup of companies providing marine engines. We have companies all over Ireland, UK and even as far as the Netherlands joining us next year in Limerick for this spectacular event for your industry,’ said Mara Media’s Sharon Boyle.
Two companies specialising in marine engines are Proteum from Southampton and Westward Scania from Roscommon.
‘Westward Scania have been a long-time exhibitor at the Irish Skipper expo. It is a wonderful opportunity to meet customers and suppliers face to face. It also gives potential new customers the opportunity to meet with us and discuss their projects,’ said Westward Scania’s Peter Mallon.
‘We’re looking forward to the 2025 Skipper Expo in Limerick. The location and facilities allow for a very professional looking show and the Irish Skipper staff go above and beyond in their efforts to have a great expo.’
Leading marine distributor Proteum brings its wealth of knowledge and experience in marine diesel engines to the Irish Skipper Expo once again.
With an ever-growing list of products available to purchase, the company delivers marine diesel engines and support services to their worldwide customer base throughout the year. Proteum are UK & Ireland distributors for OXE Diesel Outboard, FNM and BUKH marine diesel engines, as well as Glendenning Controls and Konrad stern drives.
Proteum sales manager Simon Barnett commented that their focus at the Irish Skipper expo this year will be to give customers a clear understanding of how to improve their fuel economy and reduce emissions.
‘We will have a demonstration OXE 200hp diesel outboard on the stand, where visitors can view the engine architecture to better understand how converting from petrol to diesel outboards can improve their fuel economy by over 40% and reducing emissions by over 90%,’ he said.
As well as this, Proteum have also recently supplied 24 OXE diesel outboards to be installed aboard various designs of CTV (crew transfer vessel) operated by NorthStar Renewables and Edda Wind which will provide support to offshore wind sites along the East coast of the UK.
