29th May, Aberdeen – 12th June, Glasgow
The UK Seafood retail market is now worth £2.67 billion, up 5% on last year. A better understanding of the UK consumer will help your business to service this growing market.
The importance of understanding the consumer and how they behave in their purchasing of food is a vital ingredient in planning food marketing activities and new product development.
Through the workshop fishermen, fish salesmen, fishmongers and seafood processors will gain access to consumer trends in the UK. We will focus on the seafood counter and the chilled and frozen categories. A seafood category insight report will be produced for each participant and attending companies will also have the opportunity to ask for further reports to be produced, which are tailored to their needs.
Seafood Scotland and SAC – on behalf of Scotland Food and Drink, are teaming up with the Dunnhumby Academy of Consumer Research at the University of Kent to provide you with this extremely powerful information. The Dunnhumby data is drawn from weekly supermarket purchasing data from a panel of 1.2 million UK households. The workshop will explain the nature of Dunnhumby data and investigate consumer data in the seafood sector.
There is no charge for this event and follow up reports will also be free of charge.
This extremely informative event is open to anyone within the Scottish seafood industry.
