Ms. Lövin, the author of “Tyst hav” (“Silent Sea”) which was a huge success both among critics and book-buyers in 2007, was recently elected to the European Parliament for the Swedish Greens and has a seat on the Fisheries Committee. Her book, which was just published in a Japanese translation, dealt with the disastrous state of global fisheries.
