Fishing and processing company Brim and the Icelandic College of Fisheries have signed a co-operation agreement aimed at raising levels of training within the industry.
The specific aims are to develop ongoing training, competence and professional development at Brim, and to support wider efforts to recruit new talent to the marine sector in general.
A working group of two representatives from the Icelandic College of Fisheries and one Brim representative will focus on developing a policy, setting out aims and co-operation with those experts in specific fields at Brim who will also part of this initiative.
Brim has a long track record of co-operation with the Icelandic College of Fisheries related to ongoing staff training and signing this agreement ensures that the co-operation continues.
