Last we were in contact with the M/V Atlantic Star they had had some remarkable fishing days in the Barents Sea using the Vónin Bacalao
Skipper Heðin Joensen says: “We are using the Vónin Bacalao trawls and we are very happy with these trawls. The last couple of days we could not see any indications of any fish, but the Bacalao trawls fished anyway! We caught 140 tonnes of Cod in three days using the Bacalao trawl. The trawls we used to have were smaller trawls from another supplier, which were 520 meshes, but the Bacalao trawl from Vónin, which is 110 meshes larger and has a 6 metre longer fishingline, is 10% lighter to tow. The Bacalao trawls are also very well made, the craftmanship is very good. Everything is super!”
