PD 147 Enterprise from the Dutch Ekofish Group based in Urk, Holland, was on Monday 12. December striked by an accident at sea.
The trawler was fishing in the North Sea West of Thyboroen.
By hauling the twin-rig trawl gear, wires was crossing, and hereby the trawl and trawldoors was not hauled as expected. The accident lead to a crew member being squeezed, and by this damaging ribs and milt.
The weather was windy, but not storming, when the crew member was airlifted by a Danish helicopter from SOK (Royal Danish Navy) bringing him to the hospital in Aalborg, Northern Jutland, Denmark.
According to the hospital the man was Tuesday stabilized after operation. The trawler returned to Thyboroen after the accident, reaching the port Tuesday afternoon.
