The team of Turku Repair Yard will soon be joined by Vesa Marttinen, an experienced shipping and maritime service business leader.
From November 1, the present year, Vesa Marttinen, one of the most experienced industry leaders in ship design, projects and repairs will take up a position of deputy Managing Director in Turku Repair Yard. In March 2013, he will take over the management of the company.
Vesa Marttinen has 15 years of experience in shipping and maritime industry. Prior to Turku Repair Yard he worked in Wärtsilä as Vice President for Marine Lifecycle Solutions. Before that he was in charge of global Service business at Aker Yards Cruise & Ferry. He has also held other senior positions in maritime industry in the US and in Finland.
