According to Vilhjálmur Vilhjálmsson, head of HB Grandi’s pelagic division, fishing has been poor south of Reykjanes over the last few days. There are now more trawlers fishing on pearlside as well as HB Grandi’s vessels Faxi, Ingunn and Lundey. Ísleifur VE has been fishing there as well and now Hoffell SU, Jón Kjartansson SU and Bjarni Ólafsson AK have joined in.
Vilhjálmur Vilhjálmsson said that Lundey NS now has 200 tonnes on board after three days at sea, while Faxi has 150 tonnes after two days. Ingunn left Akranes last night and has just started fishing.
